This contemporary Kazak reproduction, woven in Agra, India, was inspired by the original, which is part of the Inscribed Armenian Rug Collection that Arthur T. Gregorian donated to the Armenian Library and Museum of America in Watertown, Massachusetts.
This geometric Kazak was woven by primitive mountain villagers who are noted for using vivid colors, bold designs and whimsically incorporating inscriptions and icons into their rugs. This stunning design is reproduced by license from Arthur T. Gregorian Oriental Rugs located “A little part of Persia in Newton Lower Falls, Massachusetts”.
